Magnolia at sunset
I am blessed with this magnolia tree in my backyard, and a hillside location that catches the very late, pink light of the sun setting over the Olympics. I’ve been trying to catch the magnificence of the tree in all its glory, and yesterday the light was just like I like it. Digital cameras are so wonderful! I would never have kept shooting like I did, hoping for the perfection of bloom and light, with a film camera. I just love that it’s all free!
Wow~ That’s a pretty magnolia tree you’ve got here. Where I’m living (Singapore) it’s kind of impossible to plant those 🙁 with 365 days of summer.
Thanks for your kind comments on my photos. I’ll check about the picture loading 🙂
Have a good week ahead!!
You are in Singapore! Did you grow up there? I am in Seattle now but have also gardened in Northern CA. You can grow beautiful things everywhere, they are just different kinds of things.
You are so lucky! That is one great specimen and a great shot to boot. Has it got a deliciou scent as well? Mine unfortunately wasn’t mine but captured on our return trip from Sydney last week. I have a smaller (much) one in my mountan garden overlooking Adelaide where we have a big old house we hardly ever use as we prefer to be on the farm in a hovel but with daughter and 3 grandies in the old farm house just down the hill.
If you can use a big hug, consider yourself very warmly hugged.
