Who can resist the lure of the coast? I read that 75% of the world’s population lives within 50 miles of an ocean coast. An amazing statistic, if true. I love to live near water, and here in Seattle that’s so easy. The two scenes of Puget Sound below were taken recently from the Normandy Park cove beach. It’s early fall in Seattle, so how can you do Ruby Tuesday with anything except leaves? Although the great thing about this idea is that people around the world have their own interpretation. Click HERE to see other Ruby Tuesdays. This is from our walk in the Aboretum. It was so funny to see three or even four photographers aiming at the same red tree!

Here are a few photos from our walk yesterday. The third photo’s tree looked like some kind of exotic cherry, but I don’t know what it is. The middle is japanese maple leaves.

We went to buy some spring bulbs on sale (bought way too much) and took a walk in the park, where we had never been. A few shadows showed themselves before it clouded up. This is a from a trip to a wholesale florists supply store in Kent. You might think that the flowers would be the subject of choice, but these ribbons were amazing. There were several long aisles of them!
