Heart-shaped rocks
Walking along the beach at Fort Worden when we were in Port Townsend recently, we found not one, but a matched set of heart-shaped rocks. It seems to me that Western Washington has more than its fair share of them. We find them frequently while digging in the yard. I don’t know what to do with them, but gosh they are cute.
Visit Shadow Shot Sunday after browsing around here. But first try clicking on the Shadow category, or perhaps Landscape? Anyway, you will see all the posts if you click on Sara’s Fave Photos above.
Great rocks! Don’t think I’ve ever seen that many heart-shaped rocks all together. And they make lovely shadows!
Oh those rocks are precious and they cast lovely heart shaped shadows as well.
How lucky you are Sara to stumble upon so many heart-shaped rocks! I NEVER find heart-shadped rocks 🙁
They’re the sweetest little shadows too!
Ah, but do you look for them, Tracy?
Wow, what find! I have never seen such wonderful rocks! I would take it as a sign – love is in the air! Neat shadow too! Well done, my friend!

Four heartstones—
ah, my lady’s tears—
she lost them.

And who were you walking with?! Seems like a hint to me. Fun shot – I especially like the all of the interesting textures and subdued color.
clever you to find the hearts and then the shadows too! lynda
They are so beautiful! You’d think I would have a collection like this but … for some reason heart rocks elude me!!!
I love the heart shadows too – they show up so perfectly!
