Red Japanese maple leaves

I know I’ve posted a few photos of autumn leaves recently, but how can I resist when I see an image like this one? The local (mostly gray) weather makes me run for my camera whenever the sun shines and I can get outside. I took this one yesterday on a little walk near my house. I have never appreciated sunshine like I do now that I live in Seattle, that’s for sure.

   Oh, how I love these trees! I want to visit my Japanese friends in Japan in the fall season…these trees adorn the temples and shrines in Japan. I long to see it with my own eyes! This is a very beautiful photograph!

    We have two Japanese Maple trees on our property…I wait all year to see them change color. It is like magic. Your picture really captured that beauty.
