Pink petunias

These petunias were planted on a huge, long, tall wire wall at Furney’s Nursery, south of Seattle, WA. It’s an amazing display that they have been doing for at least a couple of summers now. I’ve also planted some petunia seeds which are now just showing their seed leaves, and may show them this photo to inspire them to grow up big, strong and beautiful!

   What pretty petunias :).

   PS I know that Chihuly has an entire stable of people actually creating his work, but I figure he still gets the credit because he’s still providing the vision and direction, much like an architect designs a building without doing the shop drawings or laying the concrete :).

   I can never resist petunias, and yours are a cheeky pink! I always have petunia in my garden, but they don’t last , what a pity.

   Sara — those are beautiful. I’m happy not to be the only person who takes pix at garden centers. There’s a place in Eugene that does something like this every year, but it’s on the front of their building (long flower box hanging from the roof). I’ve lusted to take a picture of it, but on a busy street and too lazy to get up early enough to beat the traffic. Their parking lot is too close./
