Daffodils in the garden
Finally a weekend day with sunshine! Yesterday I had such a happy half hour down there with the camera and the flowers blooming; these days it’s mostly too wet to even see them up close. Photo tip: Put your camera on its flower setting and get down there to get some background in that will be blurry. Simple but effective.
Visit Mellow Yellow Monday, Outdoor Wednesday, Shadow Shot Sunday, Scenic Sunday, Today’s Flowers, SOOC Sunday (straight out of the camera), Macro Friday and Macro Monday for more intriguing photos. Browse around here first, why don’t you, by clicking on a new taq or category. Try the “close up” tag, at the lower right? Or the “My Garden” category might be fun.
great picture of daffodils.

Cute Yellow Plane
very creative angle. great idea
Daffodils are wonderful. A nice photo of them!
yes that is beautiful viewed from the back. I noticed you have 3 entries here, may i know the reason why you just didn’t put all the 3 photos in one post. In my case i can’t limit myself with few photos per post, i keep on thinking of another one photo to upload, and upload again! lol.
I love the photo. Very creative angle.
not so cool i think. 🙂 Keep shooting.
The blurry background nicely places the subject into such sharp focus. The joyous look of spring is the soft yellow of this daffodil. Gorgeous, with the warmth of Spring emanating from the lovely flower!
Perfect shot. Nice to see the plants coming into bloom.
The daffodils could be monks bending low, with shadows and sunlight dancing on their cowls!
EVEN IN SHADOW
Even in shadow, where there is no light,
One may take comfort and one may delight
That darkness has lost its power to thrall
Those who are living on this earthly ball.

Great photo! You’re not the only one looking for sunshine and happy when you see some. Lots O’ folks are wonderin’ where Ole Sol is these days. Suppose to come out tomnorrow here where I live. This really is a wonderfgul shot. I love the yellow, (one of my favorite colors), and thanks for that tip!
Peace
Brilliant macro perspective of the daffodil! It highlights the subtle textures of the flower!
I love the bright and cheety daffodils. Lovely photo!
These daffodils are delightful! A beautiful photo Sara! And yes, that little macro button is perfect for flower photography! Happy Easter weekend to you!
Love the angle that you have shot this, to capture the shadows, and also how the other daffodils in the distance are casting shadows on the grass.
Daffodils always pretty. happy SSS!
Beautiful daffodils!! My blog friend in Denmark says they call them Eater lilies there.
Oh those yellow beauties in shadow are so lovely…here in New Hampshire there is not much blooming yet but I am hopeful to see the little buds breaking out all over my lilac bushes!
Have a wonderful week and thanks for sharing this great photograph!
Hugs,
