Mt. Rainier from Tacoma
On the way back from our camping trip last week as we crossed the Puyallup River, our local volcano, AKA “the mountain,” was out and glorious. Taking lots of photos from the car window sometimes lucks out. This one is SOOC Sunday (straight out of the camera), not even cropped. Not bad!

What a view. Spectacular shot!
With a view like that, why would anyone want to live anywhere else?

Shadows each morning, shadows at night,
Shadows, O shadows, you’re my delight!

I love Rainier! I’ve lived in WA for a decade but haven’t tired of this beautiful mountain. I think it’s special because with all our rain, it’s not always “out.” Thanks for sharing!
Majestic!

Spectacular! That is the perfect word! I love how the mountains fade into the same color as the sky! Following you now! Feel free to link up your SOOC shot here too – http://www.marvelousmommy.com/2011/08/sooc-saturday-come-link-up-your-shots-photography-2/
Excellent photo! That is one beautiful mountain and a nice bridge to boot!
Beautiful picture, so stunning… I specially enjoy the way the mount seems to “float” in the air… Nice place.
Very nice photo.
Regards!
Such a glorious shot!! I always love the way Mt.Ranier seems to rise out of the clouds. While our daughter went to college in Issaquah this was one of my favorite views. Happy SSS.
Wow! It almost appears to be just hanging there in the sky. Beautiful!!
