Normandy Park WA overlook
Well, sunset comes early now, that’s for sure, so we just have to enjoy it when we can. I missed a really spectacular sunset last week with just a glimpse as I drove along, so I was extra happy to see this sweet one that I could photograph, even if just delicate pink and not red. I’ll take it. And do you notice almost a rainbow reflection in the water? I can’t quite figure it out. I love the mysterious reflection and Iโm calling this my Best Post of the Week.
Stop by Scenic Sunday, Outdoor Wednesday, SOOC Sunday (straight out of the camera), Weekend Reflections,ย Skywatch Friday, Pink Saturday, and Watery Wednesday for lot of photos on a theme. As always, especially if only one photo below, you can click on Saraโs Fave Photos to view the complete blog here.
Happy note: Only 16 days ’til the solstice means just 32 days until days are lengthening and longer than today!
i think the clouds add a lot of interest to the sky! if the colours were brighter, you might not notice the clouds!
A very beautiful and peaceful moment.
Nice shot. You’ve got to live there to get that kind of stuff. Alas, it’s just overcast during many of my visits to your neighborhood.
Lovely Shot Sara – the sun could be “kissing” the clouds goodnight!
(yes, I do have a somewhat warped imagination!!)
Picturesque!
Mackinac Island
I do love that moment of a sunrise when the colours start bleeding into each other.
Beautiful. The colour, the light and the composition. I like that swirl (current? boat trail) in the foreground too.
The layers of clouds in parallel with the shoreline sweep the viewer in. Nice shot.
simply Wonderful!!
Peaceful!

Just lovely! I’ll bet it was great to stand watching that sunset.
Very beautiful landscape. Looks like the kind of place one could sit for a while and have space to think. Its just now getting cool enough to enjoy the outdoors down here. I’d love it if you’d stop by and follow along at http://www.forgottencompass.com
