Rhodies in Volunteer Park
The rhododendrons are really gorgeous this year. The winter has been pretty mild, with plenty of water, and with the brutally cold winter the previous year, I guess the plants are breathing a sigh of relief and blooming their hearts out in gratitude. This scene in Seattle’s Volunteer Park is just one tiny slice of the magnificent display that rhodies put on for us in the Pacific Northwest.
Visit Scenic Sunday, Outdoor Wednesday, Today’s Flowers, Weekend Flowers, Floral Friday, SOOC Sunday (straight out of the camera) and Pink Saturday to see lots of great photos from around the planet. And if you’ve arrived via a link, be sure to click on Sara’s Fave Photos Blog above to see the complete blog here. Have fun!
What a gorgeous place. You are fortunate to live nearby and enjoy nature at her best.
These are highly prolific bushes and LOVELY!
I have one bush and it too did very well this spring.
Wow! They are gorgeous!
My entry.
lovely, simply lovely.
Terrific capture! Love the composition. I wish my rhododendrons were this big….
Hello there stranger! I adore this photo! All that pink is just so lovely! I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend Sara!
Wow! Not only are those gorgeous, they are huge. I love rhododendrons.
I have repeatedly try to grow some, but with no success. We are right on the line on two growing zones. We’ve decided to plant some in our woods, so we will be looking for some this autumn.
Happy Pink Saturday, Sara.
how lovely! 🙂
What an attractive bush!
Beautiful. It’s been perfect weather for Rhodies this year but I’d sure like for it to warm up soon.
Wish I lived nearby so I could see these magnificent plants!♥♫
What beautiful bushes! They have such pretty colors on them.
OH MY GOODNESS…….they really are spectacular this year. Mine were huge and deelish…….and it looks like the hydrangeas are going to be super too. There really are blessings about living in the Puget Sound…… it makes the rain worth it all.
Blessings,
Spencer
rhododendrum bushes in full bloom are always beautiful.
